Some years ago I made some remixes for my friend Ingo Vogelmann. It was about his album cycle GOD he had created as a series of concept albums. I immediately took a track that represented music for me as a whole: It’s a long road to discover yourself and music helps you doing that. While producing I also learned so much, developing a new style I hadn’t produced before.
Today this track still stands as a statement: Everyday I’m discovering more and more of myself and music still helps becoming the person I want to be. So this track is still as important as can be.
Recently Ingo & I decided to re-release some of our work together and we made 2020 re-masters of some of our tracks. So here it comes: Ingo Vogelmann – Long Road To Self including my remix! Make sure to pre-order it so you will get it on January 4th, 2020!
After starting this year’s memories mix series last week with some chilled beats I will take up the BPM counter a notch. The second set is full of memories from the active side of summer!
So, this time it is full of music by SoundLiner, Kevin Holdeen, Talamanca, Andrew Lang, Keith Harris and many more!
„High on Summer“ has been my summer mix I released every year from 2014 to 2017. Now in 2018 I didn’t make it, but that’s why I decided to make a whole series out of it for 2019. It’s a series in memory of the great summer of 2019 to remember at the end of the year.
It has different approaches: While the opening set „Lying in the Sun“ is more chilled, others like „Driving Through The Landscape“ has more energy. the last one called „Summer Nightsky“ is nearly Chillout then. So everyone should find something to enjoy in this series!

Back in November I visited Northern Germany to play at the Trancecube once again. Unfortunately the real recording couldn’t be recovered, so I re-recorded the live set as perfect as I could remember – set list and timing/transitions should be nearly as in the club. Of course, it is posted on Soundcloud!

So hidden from some of you a new gig is ahead in just three days! I’ll be hitting the decks again in a club where it all started in 2006.
I’ll be playing 50 solid minutes at the TranceCube revival in Greifswald on Saturday, Nov 16th, 2019. Being aware that it’s a pretty short set I have already prepared a list of maybe 30-40 tracks I want to choose from in this set. I have to make this set on point! As I know most of you can’t be there, there will be a recording and I will post it here later, of course!
I’m excited to go back to my old town and to play a live set again!
Trance and Progressive is a great thing for me but most of you already know my chilled, Ambient side of music and I love it just as much!
Over the last years I collected some productions in this genre. So in my series of producer sets I took the time to mix some of my most beloved Ambient productions. Starting with my remix of Mhammed el Alami’s & Amine Maxwell’s Let Yourself Be Loved over some of the tracks taken from my album Wonders I end with the unofficial remake of Nu NRG’s classic Free Fall I produced in 2014.

The latest piano tunes I recorded have led me to playing some faster stuff and River Flows In You is just a flowing melody. Don’t expect me to know or like the books/movies that have afterwards been linked to the piece, I merely love the music this Japanese composer wrote.
There are 2 or 3 points where the recording isn’t perfect, but I’ll accept that for now.
Some weeks ago I published my producer set for music I released in the progressive genre. Now here’s a collection of all the more melodic and uplifting tracks I made from 2014 to 2018. Of course there are some original tracks like Adamantium or Novaturient, but I also included my uplifting remixes like Elements or Strange World for Jedmar.
A special track is the now unreleased remix I produced for Zura by my friend Opt-In.

Some of you might know that I once organised and played at the Trancecube some years ago. In recent years the event was taking a long hiatus, but it will be revived (for an unknown number of shows) and thus head of the party Pete Severano is gathering some resident DJs. He asked us to play some secret favourites we want to share with the #TranceFamily – that means some tracks that aren’t overplayed as „classics“.
Being the overachiever that I am (guilty!) I felt the need to compile two of these mixes with some older tracks and some more recent ones. Today Pete released the second one and I don’t want to keep them secret for you.

While playing the piano more and more again, I have played some movie scores. I’ve always loved the „Forrest Gump“ movie score and here is the main theme, the feather theme. Don’t tell me it’s not perfectly played (like a pianist could), I know, but it’s a beautiful piece of music!
