Time flies! This week I will have my 9 years anniversary with Waves already! My guest for this special date is the latest guest I brought to the FriskyFamily: Vince Forwards. He plays a mix between chilled out beats, fine melodies and right out ambient pads. The perfect music for Waves!
My mix will be a special Trance Ambient mix, so it contains trancey tunes, but only pads and melodies. There will be music by Ferry Corsten, Jorn van Deynhoven, Oceanlab and a remix by my friend Magdelayna from Great Britain. Also, I will play a special Ambient remix I produced of one of my own tracks that has never been released or heard before. I’m really looking forward to it!

Finally it has come to this: My Top 20 of 2018 are revealed. I loved mixing every minute of this hearing all those amazing tunes time and time again!
This mix is filled with great producers like Matt Eray, Illitheas, Ciaran McAuley, Ferry Tayle, Sean Mathews, Exouler, Activa, James Dymon, Dan Stone, and the outstanding Cold Blue once again. At the top we have 3 tunes I couldn’t decide which would be my track of the year, because they are so different. The one is with vocals, the other one very powerful, nearly technoid and the third one has such a sweet and petite melody I could never resist.
Part II of my Yearmix is here! I included the ranks 40 to 21 with Ferry Corsten, Sean Mathews, Ula, A.R.D.I., Neev Kennedy, Daniel Kandi and so much more. This is not even the best of 2018, but we’re getting close.
Maintaining Epiphany of Sound was hard in 2018. I only released 10 new episodes which means not even an episode every month. From September to December I didn’t even manage to record a new one! This was a hard time for me, going from week to week, having tunes ready (because I still looked for new music!), but not finding the time to mix a set.
BUT now it’s 2019 and I just mixed three episodes: My 62 most loved tracks of the year! I split it in three parts because of the length. In part 1 you can hear my top 62 to 41 featuring Magdelayna, Daniel Kandi, Thomas Datt, Ciaran McAuley, James Dymond, Dim3nsion and my own (only) release of the year: First Point of Aries.
Since 2018 has been pretty calm with announcements and music around me, I’ll try to change that in the upcoming year. Let’s begin with January WAVES next Sunday which will feature a long time friend of mine: Pete Severano. He has played many live events with me and we even produced several tracks together (alongside with another friend). Now he sent me his latest, unreleased Chillout mix with so many different styles, but they still fit together! I couldn’t resist but ask him back.
Of course you can expect another hour of Chillout from me. I prepared some of the best tracks I have heard and played in 2018 to give a little recap on the Chillout year. The last Epiphany of Sound is four weeks old and so I had to take the time to mix another Trance set! This time I took some Aly & Fila, Dustin Husain, Miroslav Vrlik, FloE & Alex Byrka and other quality producers and put it together into over an hour of pumping beats and sweet melodies. At the end I put a new Billy Gillies remake of Chicane’s collab with Bryan Adams called Don’t Give Up which really fits the rest!

Epiphany of Sound is back with a new installment starting powerful! In between you’ll hear some nice, petite melodies in more lyrical tracks, especially nearly at the end with Activa’s & Lostly’s StarForm, but overall this episode keeps the pace.
Very special is my (for me) long awaited new release First Point of Aries which fits in pretty neatly and takes over the energy. Also, the remake of a classic at the end with Elles de Graaf’s vocals really is a special in this mix.

Also, the classic by Armin van Buuren has been on my mind for a long time to include in one of my mixes and now I had to do it. A real gem from golden Armin times, who has gone down roads I don’t really follow (in his productions).
