Epiphany of Sound – Vol. 108

After some mixes of „Top 100“ of the 2010s I wanted to sprinkle some current tunes into the „Epiphany of Sound“ series. So this episode is about very energetic music by Solar Movement, Cosmic Heaven, Rinaly, Manuel Rocca or Tom Exo. Epiphany of Sound – Top 100 of 2010s (Part 3)

The next 2 hours will blow you away! In this compilation of some of the best tracks of the 2010s I collected mostly heavy, uplifting and vocal tunes. Be it Steve Allen or James Dymond, the Skylex Remix of The Thrillseekers‘ Amber or Luke Bond’s On Fire remixed by Aly & Fila, all of them share a driving beat, some even Tech elements, but still a beautiful and breathtaking melody! The final chapter of the memory series is here! High on Summer has covered a lot of uptempo and more chilled tunes, now this is the most relaxed mix with Roald Velden, New Horizons, Lesh, LTN, Renaldas, The Midnight and wrapping it up with The Thrillseekers‘ In These Arms featured on his album in 2016.

Back in November I visited Northern Germany to play at the Trancecube once again. Unfortunately the real recording couldn’t be recovered, so I re-recorded the live set as perfect as I could remember – set list and timing/transitions should be nearly as in the club. Producer Set 2014-2018 (Ambient)

Trance and Progressive is a great thing for me but most of you already know my chilled, Ambient side of music and I love it just as much!

Over the last years I collected some productions in this genre. So in my series of producer sets I took the time to mix some of my most beloved Ambient productions. Starting with my remix of Mhammed el Alami’s & Amine Maxwell’s Let Yourself Be Loved over some of the tracks taken from my album Wonders I end with the unofficial remake of Nu NRG’s classic Free Fall I produced in 2014.

If you like melodic pads, pianos and some chilled beats, you should tune in!

Trancecube: Personal Classics

Some of you might know that I once organised and played at the Trancecube some years ago. In recent years the event was taking a long hiatus, but it will be revived (for an unknown number of shows) and thus head of the party Pete Severano is gathering some resident DJs. He asked us to play some secret favourites we want to share with the #TranceFamily – that means some tracks that aren’t overplayed as „classics“.

Being the overachiever that I am (guilty!) I felt the need to compile two of these mixes with some older tracks and some more recent ones. Today Pete released the second one and I don’t want to keep them secret for you.

Epiphany of Sound – The Remakes 2017/18

In 2017 I presented a best of the remakes that were produced in 2016, but I never took the time to do that for 2017. With 2018 gone I now grabbed all the remakes from 2017 and 2018 to mix a set with all of them for 2 years in a row. There are so many classics remade, which sometimes seems obsolete but other times is a real plus in modern sets. Sometimes even the original artists give their tracks a retouch like Steve Helstrip (The Thrillseekers) one of his greatest productions „Affinity“. Nitrous Oxide’s „Follow You“ is even so popular that it got two remakes in this mix. Prepare for some sweet melodies!

Epiphany of Sound – Vol. 88

Just within a week here’s a new Epiphany of Sound! I found some really amazing tunes, some on my standard labels, but some really found my ear after looking for special producers. The opener Fluid Karma by Thomas Datt is one of those tunes that caught my attention – it is somehow fluid, shows some progressive Psytrance influences but is still extremely beautiful!

The rest is music by Jam Da Bass & DJ T.H., Dim3nsion, Daniel Kandi, Brent Rix and many others, which is also not to be missed.
