The end of month is around the corner and so the next episode of In Between will hit you in a couple of days. As so often it’s a show beginning with deep beats by Skyhunter, Yuri Pike or Yusuke Teranishi. Later I turn up the heat with Amax DJ, Peredelsky or U-Jeen on Interplay Recordings. This could be a show for you to enjoy and dance into summer!
So if you need some chilled dance beats, tune in to FriskyRadio at Friday, June 26th 2026, at 1p.m. ESST / 8p.m. CEST and enjoy the vibes!
Get yourself ready for a new installation of Trance! Epiphany of Sound presents you some progressive beats, uplifting melodies and atmospheric breaks to flow through your speakers. I compiled new music by Avis, Deep Impuls, ReOrder, Cold Blue and many others.
After celebrating the 16 years anniversary in February I have the next fine dish for you on Waves: Californian DJ and producer SlumberMachine will join me in an exclusive 1 hour set of his sound! He will play a lot of his own tunes lingering between deep ambient music, some lush, wide pads and some downtempo. The set will calm you down on your Sunday, that I can promise!
After that I’ll accompany these sounds with my own – you know the pads, the slow beats, the piano sound. Everything you are familiar with on Waves. I’m already looking forward to playing this set for you and enjoying it myself.
So don’t miss this one and tune in on Sunday, March 1st, 2026, to FriskyRadio CHILL at 1 p.m. CET / 7 a.m. EST and enjoy the vibes!
It is time to bring it: Polar Impact has become one of my favourite uplifting labels in recent years and months. In 2025 they released so many outstanding tunes I couldn’t even play them all out in my Epiphany of Sound. Now I compiled 15 of the best tunes of the year and mixed them together featuring LiftingAngel, Drunk Breeze, Young Hu and more of blurrrSAMA who impressed me the most.
Waves was my first show and is still one of the biggest joys in my life. When I mix it, I feel pure pleasure and can calm down from the world. So next Sunday it will be the 16th anniversary, which I still can’t wrap my head around – where has the time flown?
Expect some new tunes from one of my favourite labels at the moment – Space Music – and some other classic tracks that I always love to play. There are some special artists like Chicane, Sean Mackey, Airbase, Bvdub or Roald Velden who just have the right feeling with Chillout and Ambient music.
So on Sunday, February 1st, 2026 make yourself ready at 7 a.m. EST / 1 p.m. CET for the best in Chillout, Ambient and Downtempo. Celebrate 16 years of Waves with me and enjoy the Chillout Sunday!
New year, new show! Epiphany of Sound returns with the well known mixture of starting progressive beats evolving to uplifting melodies banging through your speakers later on. Expect new music by Farius, Ferry Tayle, Paul van Dyk, ReOrder and many many others. The classic had to be Uppsala by Nikolauss, which is a tune from 2019, but turned classic instantly for me.
When thinking of Trance never forget Epiphany of Sound which brings back progressive vibes and banging beats this time. I put in some tunes by Young Hu, Farius & Solarstone, Sean Mathews, Mark Hide and some great other stuff.
You’ve been waiting for this one way too long: Epiphany of Sound episode 180 brings back the big beats, the lush pads, the angelic melodies and all of this in a maximum style! I picked tunes by the epic and legendary Ferry Tayle who has been enriching this scene for over 2 decades.
This episode ranges from the progressive style under the alias Cape Town over the flowing Trance with ‚The Wizard‘ style or collaborations with Stephan R to the absolute bangers with Dan Stone, Aly & Fila or Daniel Kandi. So you will enter a long journey of pure Trance with the maestro himself: Ferry Tayle all the way!
Here we are again: The next installment of Epiphany of Sound continues to combine well known names, upcoming producers, sweet melodies and big beats! This time we have tunes by Cold Blue, Kayan Code, Farius, 0Gravity and many more. The featured classic comes from Thomas Ulstrup on Flashover which will bang your speakers away!
Today I want to recur to a – for me – absolutely heartbreaking tune. I do love the original mix of Darren Porter’s Spellbound, so do I love the Ferry Tayle remix. Both these mixes are part of the peak where Trance can lead – emotional, motivational, deep, still euphoric and banging.
The hearbreaking part is, that Ferry Tayle produced and played an early version on one of his sets. This differs from the the released remix in minor (or major?) points. Whereas the released version had pluck synths all over and the beats where somewhat lighthearted, this unreleased one has a banging kickdrum and features something that changes the complete atmosphere in the break: the piano. The pluck synth has a nice sound and leads you into the silent part, while the piano makes everything sound so right, soothing, being warm and harmonic. This is something the pluck synth couldn’t do.
And to this day – mind you: being released in 2013! – I can’t understand why they changed it in the first place. And why the early version never got released afterwards. Either Ferry or Darren Porter or Monster Tunes must have rethought it and have the enlightenment that this tune is just so much better than the released mix. This is so different and such unbelievably better, I can’t get my head around it!
Having lost so many words about it, here is the unreleased remix:
